Would really appriciate if someone could tell me what this movie is..?

all i remember from it is that they go on a journey where the crusaders wrote the first pages of Christianity and or templers tresure.. and they travle on boat where they crash and he finds the pages that disproves it and he has the choice to destory everyones faith or not and he is on a hill where he throws the pages over the edge and that old guy follows the pages...
