Is being called a crusader by a muslim a compliment?

No, they think of crusaders as those who attacked the Muslims but the Muslims were severely persecuting the Christians for centuries before the Crusaders rose up to defend themselves and all the other Christians in the general area. I don't know a lot about it, but the Muslims had actually been crucifying Christians. They are ruthless to the Christians even today in the restricted countries. They will do whatever they can get away with generally.
