Is it bad to exfoliate your lips every day?

I have had chapped lips for the past two weeks or so, but I found a homemade scrub that does wonders for my lips. I use it every day now. Is it bad, and will it cause wrinkles and the collagen to break down, like it skin? Thanks in advance!
