What went wrong for the Crusaders against the Cheetahs?

They were humbled by a young and relatively inexperienced team, whose main player ( Brussouw) went off with a hamstring after just twenty minutes, and even though the Crusaders had McCaw and Carter and SBW( for the 1st half) they still couldn't pull it off.
