Why are people saying pre - Ali Liston when comparing him to other fighters lol?

I am not being a crusader but Liston wasn't going to conquer Ali or Clay in their first fight at any time. And Liston had just destroyed Patterson in 1 round again in their rematch which lasted 2 seconds longer than their first fight just months before he fought Clay in Miami lol. Okay maybe he did take Ali lightly in their first fight but he would have still lost as Ali was simply phenomenal that day and would have given anyone a hard time. And Liston already had his jaw broken while losing a split decision to Marty Marshall a few years before and also went the distance with Eddie Machen, and they were no Ali's lol. Although Sonny at his absolute best was normally a very good fighter who also decimated Cleveland Williams and Zora Folley and also avenged his loss to Marshall twice, I just don't think he would have beaten Ali at any time in their respective careers. But we will be here until doomsday discussing this as everyone has their own opinion lol. And I don't believe all this crap about Liston being older than 32 when he boxed Ali, I just think the media and the so - called experts made this up because they couldn't believe that a 22 year old democratic - like loudmouth who they didn't like at the time made them look stupid by totally outclassing Liston in 6 rounds, as only 2 people from that pathetic poll picked Ali to win the first fight while 3 abstained from picking a winner lol. And they still weren't convinced when Ali poleaxed 33 year old Sonny in 2 minutes in the rematch lol. But Ali made all of them shut up when he beat the undefeated 25 year old Foreman in 8 rounds with a revolutionary technique at age 32 in a battle that will go down in history as one of the greatest performances by any fighter. Having said all that I think Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson at their best would have beaten Ali, Foreman and Holmes whereas I think Roy Jones Jr is the best boxer ever. And the best fighters at the moment are Pacquiao and Khan an I also like the look of Guillermo.
