All leather half chaps?

okay, so i got new all leather half chaps, and every timee i start trotting it seems like my lower legs are sliding around. when i had my other half chaps(thatweren'tt leather), ididn'tt feel like that. is there a difference between the all leather half chaps and the synthetic kind? do the leather half chaps cause the sliding against the leather saddle? please help!
